Composition Tip : Royal Enfield at Pangong lake
A still from my time-lapse video for Royal Enfield to demonstrate how the position of the bike guides the viewers gaze across the image.
In this composition the bike is pointing towards the direction of road that stretches along the lake toward the mountain in the distance. The viewer's looking at this image would first look at the bike and then their gaze would follow the visual path along the lake and the road towards the distant mountains.
Now imagine the exact same setting, but the bike pointing in the other direction towards the viewer. This would lead the viewer's attention out of the frame and so the composition would not be as effective as in the former case.
