My work is driven by a deep curiosity to see the lives of different tribal cultures and understand how they manage to survive and maybe even thrive in the harsh environments they find themselves living in. The curiosity has turned into a genuine admiration and respect for these people over the years. And I want to document their way of life and share them with the world before modern 'development' catches up with them and their way of live changes for ever.
I did not plan or set-out to do any of this. I started out working as a software engineer in India's IT industry. The pay was good and I had many opportunities to travel the world. But the more I traveled, the more I found myself asking if there was more to life than the comfortable 9 to 5 job that I was in. These feelings culminated into me finally quitting my job in 2010 (at an age of 32) and I haven't looked back since. The video below tells the full story of my life and how India in Motion came to be..
All this work of mine is driven by pure passion. I am an one-man team traveling to these remote places (on my own dime) to film and edit my videos. I also, as a matter of principle, do not take up commercial work to promote products and services on my channel. So money can be a bit tight at times, but over the years I have had many people support me on various crowdfunding platforms like Patreon and that has provided me with some sort of financial security to fund my travels and invest in gear that makes my videos possible. So I owe my heartfelt gratitude to all those who had supported me over the years. Thank you so much!
